From Bethlehem and the Basilica of the Nativity, the oldest church of all Christendom, we invite you to purchase this authentic and original “Nativity Star Pendant,” exquisite and special, the first of its kind ever created in the Holy Land, which has been placed by hand by the Franciscan fathers on the Grotto - the place where Jesus was born - at the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
The "Nativity Star Pendant" is designed in the shape of the same Star located to at the Grotto which marks the place where Mary gave birth to Jesus. It has 14 points representing the fourteen generations from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the Babylonian Exile, and fourteen from the Exile to the birth of Christ. (See the genealogy in Matthew 1:1-17) Around the Pendant is a circle on which is engraved in original Latin the words engraved on the Grotto Star itself:
